Our materials are designed for strength, durability, and a unique design touch, adapting perfectly to the needs of project implementers.
Transparent varnish for interiors based on aliphatic isocyanates and polyurethane and acrylic hydroxylated copolymers which, after application, hardens by crosslinking at room temperature.
Product in aqueous emulsion with low environmental impact, it does not release harmful vapours during use.
Available in glossy, semi-glossy and matt version.
The product is also available loaded with polypropylene microfibres and inorganic transparent hollow microspheres to impart more roughness and a higher coefficient of friction to the coated flooring.
The versions with superior anti-slip characteristics are called AS (Anti-Skid) and HG (High-Grip).
RESICOLOR 474 protects the treated surfaces by forming a uniform glossy or opaque waterproof film, resistant to not excessively aggressive chemical solutions of acids and bases, to the action of ultraviolet rays and to common household and industrial detergents.
It is however essential to carry out preliminary tests to establish the compatibility and resistance of the finish against the chemical agents that will be used.
The RESICOLOR 474 film has the following characteristics:
• excellent adhesion to most dry substrates, suitably prepared;
• good resistance to wear and etching;
• good flexibility;
• stable in light;
• tones the color of the substrate (concrete, brick, stone, etc …) giving a shiny, satin or matt
effect.

Support preparation
The substrates to be treated must be clean and perfectly dry, properly abraded if necessary with sandpaper, carbide or diamond wheels with a grain size not exceeding 400.
The substrates must not have been treated with NOBLOB, oxalic acid and waxes of any kind.
The support and the air temperature must be maintained between 10 and 30 ° C, the humidity of the air must not exceed 65-70%. In case of low temperatures and / or high levels of relative humidity, the evaporation of water and co-solvents is greatly reduced by preventing correct closure of the film and the achievement of optimal mechanical characteristics.
In any case, apply only at temperatures higher than at least 3 °C to the dew point temperature.
Preparation of the product and application
Mix component A thoroughly before use.
If a previously used product is used, proceed with the filtering of component A before use.
Pour the entire contents of components A and B into a clean bucket and mix at low speed with a mixer drill equipped with a propeller for at least 3 minutes, be careful that too violent mixing could absorb an excessive amount of air and humidity that could compromise the aesthetic and performance characteristics of the hardened film.
Clean the walls and bottom of the bucket with a spatula and mix manually or with a drill for at least one minute.
Apply with short hair roller, brush or airless spray.
In case of spray application, an excess of pressure combined with high temperature and humidity conditions can cause the formation of micro foam which will give the film a veiled appearance.
Although not essential, we recommend that you fully use the contents of each container. If not, make sure it is perfectly sealed. In case of partial use of the package, the two components must be carefully dosed (by weight or by volume) in the proportions indicated on the label after mixing of
component A.
After mixing the two components dilute with 10% (by weight or by volume) of clean water, preferably if demineralized, on the total weight (or volume) of A + B.
Under normal conditions of application, humidity and temperature, the pavement is ready for light pedestrian traffic after at least 48 ÷ 72 hours, for rubberized traffic and the application of operating loads wait for complete hardening which occurs after at least 7 ÷ 14 days (depending on the room temperature).
If applied in two coats, ventilate the rooms well and between the first and second coats, wait at least 4 hours to encourage complete evaporation of the solvent. In case of longer waits, before the second coat, always carry out a light sanding with fine abrasive paper (220) followed by aspiration.
(Do not sand if the AS and HG versions are applied).
RESICOLOR 474 has good wear resistance, however where traffic is more intense, the coating wears out more than in areas of less transit, in these areas the friction coefficient may decrease over time and no longer meet the legal requirements and / or project.
To restore the required conditions of low slipperiness and avoid unpleasant anti-aesthetic effects due to overlaps and product overlaps, it is necessary to mechanically remove the old coating completely and reapply the product again as instructed.
After applying the product on the substrate, the hardening reaction begins: the time available is limited and dependent on the temperature and humidity of the air and the substrate.
| Temperature | Tack free | Repaintable |
|---|---|---|
| 10 °C | 180’ | 8 h |
| 20 °C | 60’ | 4 h |
| 30 °C | 45’ | 3 h |
Minimum application temperature of the substrate: +10 ° C and ambient humidity not higher than 65-70%.
Consumption
Consumption depends on the preparation, roughness and porosity of the substrate.
Generally the consumption over a smooth and flat surface is about 100-150 g/m2 in two coats. In the case of porous substrates, consumption can be higher.
Packaging and storage
Available in packs of 5, 10 and 20 ℓ.
In original and closed packages, the product remains unchanged for at least 12 months if it is kept in an environment with a temperature between 10 and 30 °C.
Do not expose containers to frost, heat sources and sunlight.
RESICOLOR 474 is suitable for all applications where a clear protective finish is required.
In particular it can be used as:
• anti-scratch finish for decorative floors, DECORWAVE, AUTOMIX;
• waterproofing and protection of concrete, plaster, terracotta, limestone and silica and
cementitious flooring;
• transparent protective treatment of industrial floors with quartz dusting, to facilitate cleaning,
improve wear resistance and reduce the absorption of liquids;
• revives the aesthetic aspect and restores the old ceramic floors;
• waterproofs and protects wooden flooring and products, enhances the typical grain of the
wood and increases scratch resistance.
