When we talk about waterproofing, we mean the condition in which a surface is prevented from absorbing water or other liquids.
Waterproofing a roof, terrace, or other parts of a structure is essential to prevent seepage, which would lead to deterioration, detachment of the coating, or contamination (in case seepage is present, for example, in holding tanks or sewage treatment tanks).
What are the benefits of roof waterproofing with waterproofing resins?
At Resimix, we have developed our own technology that allows the waterproofing of a roof, terrace or other structural elements without the use of bituminous sheathing. The latter is a common, widely used solution with a quick installation, but if it were to tear, water or other liquids would find their way between the sheathing and the substrate, thus originating an infiltration into the substrate whose source would be difficult to locate, because in most cases it does not coincide with where it becomes visible.
Our waterproofing resins solve the problem because they adhere perfectly to the substrate and thus prevent liquids from passing through. Resins are applied by trowel or spray: the application work is longer than that of sheathing, but this solution offers greater guarantees of protection and durability.
